TikTok might be banned in the United States in the next 12 months.
The TikTok ban bill has garnered bipartisan support, passing both houses of Congress and has been signed by President Joe Biden.

The new federal law would ban the popular social media platform nationwide if its China-based parent company (ByteDance) doesn’t sell its stakes within a year. ByteDance has 270 days to divest TikTok’s U.S. assets or face a ban.
TikTok has vowed to challenge the ban as a violation of the protections of free expression enshrined in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, and TikTok users are expected to again take legal action.
Who will be most impacted by such a ban financially? Content creators, influencers, businesses and charities who make millions on the platform doing dances and making funny content that’s relatable to global audiences.
