There’s a viral TikTok sound that has people trying to match their “freak.”
It all stems from Tinashe’s song “Nasty” featuring the lyrics, “Is somebody gonna match my freak?”
Tinashe might have intended for the lyrics to have a sexual innuendo, but now TikTokers are reclaiming them and showing viewers what makes them a “freak.”
And no, the examples aren’t sexual.
Instead, posters like @Katieekatspam are telling viewers what they want out of a relationship.
“Is somebody gonna match my freak (stay up all night and sleep until 2pm + take naps),” the June 4 video reads.
The comments were flooded with people volunteering to match her “freak” with countless people saying “me,” according to the video that garnered more than 146,000 views as of June 12.
TikToker @Microplastic666 posted a video with the sound and wrote, “Is somebody gonna match my freak (go to Yosemite with me),” in a video with more than 433,000 views as of June 12.
The examples remained wholesome with @Jessbulwickii posting a video saying, “Is somebody gonna match my freak (wake up at 6am, 6:30am pilates, coffee and bagels at 7:30 am, 8am ice face and skincare, 9am tan for the rest of the day).”
The video garnered more than 290,000 views as of June 12 and had people agreeing, with one person saying, “literally yes yes yes.”
Commenters rushed to Tinashe’s video to let the artist know she had created a “top tier bop,” according to the video that had more than 2.5 million views as of June 12.
“So happy this popped off. You deserve,” another person said.
“This song is stuck in my head girl,” one said.
